Facial Aesthetics
At Binley Woods Dental and Facial Aesthetic Centre we believe that oral health, dental appearance and facial aesthetics go hand in hand when it comes to achieving a natural, beautiful smile.
A youthful smile is not only dependent upon the appearance and colour of teeth but also full lips, open eyes and smooth, crease free skin.
Facial aesthetics is becoming more popular in combination with dentistry to create an overall effect against the signs of aging. Tooth bleaching, veneers, muscle relaxants and dermal fillers are effective ways to achieve this and can be provided by your professionally qualified dental practitioner.
Our facial aesthetic service compliments our dental services but it is independent and available to new patients as well.
Dr Stewart Lenton is the sole practitioner for all treatments at Binley Woods Dental and Facial Aesthetic Centre.
What we can offer
Muscle relaxants
Muscle relaxants (for example Azzulure®, Botox®) is a purified protein which is injected into specific facial muscles to temporarily relax them, softening the muscles and reducing the appearance of skin crease lines over time. It has safely and effectively been used in medical treatments in the UK for over 20 years.
Botox can be used to treat forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, and lines around the mouth.
The product is gently injected into the muscle responsible for the overlying skin creasing. This muscle then starts to relax within 2-3 days with full relaxation of the muscle and crease line at 3-4 weeks producing a natural softening effect. This effect lasts for about 4-6 months and repeat treatments are necessary to maintain the desired effect.
Dermal Filler
Dermal fillers eg. Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvederm®, are sterile gels that consist of non-animal based hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the layers of the skin. These products are injected into the skin to correct lines, wrinkles and folds restoring elasticity in the facial skin surface, and also to sculpt lips and form facial contours.
Dermal fillers often contain local anaesthetic agents and when combined with topical anaesthetic creams any discomfort can be avoided. The results are instant and last for up to 12 months at which time repeat treatment is required.
They are very useful for lifting sunken areas of the face and restore disappearing lips.
What next?
Your first step is to book a facial aesthetic assessment appointment with Dr Lenton. This appointment costs £45.
If you are suitable for treatment your next visit will be with our treatment co-ordinator to browse before and after photographs of different cases, discuss the specifics of the look you wish to achieve, go through before and after care and individually tailor your treatment plan and finance options.
On the day of treatment you will need to have your skin thoroughly cleansed prior to starting. The injections are small and quick and you can expect the treatment to take about 5 – 15 minutes depending upon the number of areas chosen.
The after care advice will be discussed with you again, and arrangements will be made to review the treatment if necessary.
Treatments are not permanent and repeat visits are necessary to maintain the desired effects.
Price Guide
We will provide you with full details of treatment costs at your initial consultation which our treatment co-ordinator will explain to you, and if you require, arrange 0% finance for you.
